Member Updates

The BLW POA Board of Directors would like to inform the membership about some changes regarding the timing and format of our monthly Board meetings. Both the Amenities Board and our sister community, Bear Lake West HOA, have shifted to hosting virtual meetings on weeknights.

 

We are moving away from in-person meetings and will now conduct our Board meetings via Zoom. We have tried a “hybrid” approach, where some members gather in the POA Boardroom at Cooper’s, but the internet connectivity there has become increasingly problematic.

 

Members are welcome to attend the virtual meetings, but they must:

 - Change their display name to include their lot number and last name
 - Remain muted unless they have an approved agenda item and are given the floor.

 

To help us prepare, please notify us of your intent to attend the virtual meeting by using the link on the “Upcoming Events” notice on our website at www.bearlakewestpoa.com. You can access the same link by navigating to “Contact Us” and then selecting the Board Meeting Agenda Request form.

 

Any participants who are not members or invited guests, refuse to identify themselves or otherwise does not respect the above rules will be removed from the meeting.

 

Additionally, we will be changing our meeting schedule. Instead of gathering on Saturday mornings on the second Saturday of each month, we will now meet on the third Tuesday at 6 PM. The Amenities Board will continue to meet on the second Tuesday at 6 PM, allowing us to space out the meetings. 

 

This adjustment will help reduce weekend commitments for our volunteer Board Members.

 

We are keeping the format and timing of the annual membership meeting unchanged. We have reserved Harbor Village for Saturday, August 9th, to host both the in-person annual POA Membership Meeting and the joint HOA/POA Amenities meeting. We'll see you there!
