Why are water rates changing?
To fund future infrastructure improvements and ensure reliable service. The 2026 budget includes allocating $10k for capital improvements and $11k to offset increases in macroeconomic labor rates.

Water rate changes
As a part of Bear Lake West POA’s annual budget process, we’ve proposed and approved new rates for the 2026 billings to make sure they are fair, affordable, fund our future infrastructure projects, and support our current needs. This will increase annual billings by roughly $21k, which is an annual average increase of $109/lot and a monthly average increase of $9/month- bringing the average monthly bill to $31.

Water billing changes
Consistent with prior years, water rates will continue to be billed annually. To streamline costs associated with billings and collections, as well as to reduce member confusion associated with receiving separate Water and Dues billings, your 2025 water is a combined invoice in early December 2025 with your 2026 POA/Amenities dues. Your 2025 water billing will be at Current rates. Starting with the December 2026 billing, your water usage rates will increase. The 2026 water bill will be a combined invoice in December 2026 with your 2027 POA/ Amenities dues.
